During the visit, Julia Pagel met with Hüseyin Ateş, Director of the Culture and Tourism Department, and Aynur Atay, Gaziantep metropolitan municipality. She also got to visit several museums and sites, such as the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, the 25 December Gaziantep Defence Heroism Panorama and Museum as well as the fortress of Gaziantep, which was severely damaged by the earthquake.
